In 1999, Damian J. Mogavero was the CFO of a restaurant group in New York City. He became increasingly frustrated by the wasted time spent by his Managers and Chefs in the back office with spreadsheets instead of spending time in the dining room and kitchen with guests and staff. To make matters worse, his company couldn't get relevant information out of their POS and Labor systems. This situation motivated Damian to change things for the industry that he's loved since his first job as a bus boy at the Hyatt Hotel. Damian leveraged his operations knowledge with his investment banking experience along with his Harvard MBA to help change the restaurant industry.
He founded Avero with the mission of providing the industry with relevant data-driven insights faster to help restaurateurs streamline operations, drive revenue, reduce costs and provide a better guest experience. Today, this vision fuels Avero's innovation and growth to drive value for its clients.
